Chapter One – 17
The comic of the week is Cetiya!
Cetiya is a cyberpunk manga about the blurred lines between magic and technology, and the depths people will go to to be the master of their job. It’s definitely a bit surreal, a sort of dreamworld escape that reminds me a bit of the Matrix, something to read when you want to explore psyche, dreams, humanity (and the loss of) in a strange, powerful future world. I’ve always enjoyed reading it.
To you guys who blew up my donation bar, dayum, thanks! I wasn’t actually asking for donations by fussing about being alone, I was just fussing to get it out of my system. If that makes sense. Anyway, enjoy your double page today. I have to admit I wanted from the start to post these two pages together though so I’ll see if I have time to weedle out another two pages over the week. Damn lack of buffer. We’ll see. Credit for some of the graffiti goes to J, who I asked to vandalize the page a bit.
I checked out my analytics the other day and I have obvious update day spikes! I’m so stupidly excited by that. It means I have like twenty readers or so who come back on my update days. :D HI GUYS YOU’RE AWESOME.
Whew, lots of comments to reply to this time around.
GeneseePaws: I appreciate the glowing compliments, and the sheer volume of attention you’ve paid to what I put out. I feel truly blessed to have such dedicated fans already picking things apart and checking things out and figuring out how things work. And I’m very glad you’re optimistic… and personally, I’m happier that I have a few great fans than a billion subpar ones. I can profess to having quite a variety of people reading my comic already and for me, that’s actually good enough.
And I am very proud of you for enjoying yourself at work. =P
I’m trying to maintain an update schedule because it keeps ME on the ball, though I respect that it’s also great on you guy’s end. My best art, however, does require color… my inks are actually pretty crappy, and I’m only doing them to stretch myself after my last project, having avoided them for so long–I was strictly doing color at that point. And my font, by the way, is in fact my own handwriting.
Abe: Thank you for the birthday wishes! And the compliments on the vine panels, I had a great time doing those. Though they took a LONG time. D: 10 had some of my favorite bits too, actually, I just couldn’t figure out how to duplicate it for the subsequent pages.
Skpvict06: Well, thanks, and I appreciate knowing who referred you, I like knowing where my readers come from. :D I hope you continue to enjoy it and very much appreciate your comment.
Danny: Thank you for the birthday wishes, and thanks for the luck. I found one more interesting position (unfortunately temporary) that I think I might also apply for. And thank you for blowing up my meter on the right there. I had actually just two dollars to go and hadn’t updated the meter yet. XD BOOM.

Took me a while to view this page, my internet is dying on me yet again (should be fixed soon … hopefully). D’:
So Atrina is trapped now on the other side of the gate, and are those a bunch of other gates I can see that branch out from the centre? :'(
I think I finally read all those little bits of text within the frames and then realised a while after that the second page used text and numbers to separate panels! I thought that was pretty awesome! I love the glow effects used, too!
I agree with Danny, the glowy shinies are used to great effect on this page, although I miss the vines. After you practice Bar &Vine calligraphy for a while, you get the hang of doing it fast, really fast.
Now I will attempt to acquire Mr. Azoth for this site. He likes a good riddle. science or otherwise.
I have to comment to make up for not earlier
